On The Beach With Some Buddies 2005

These are some pics from a few years ago when my friend Bob Beadle was in town and he and I and Guy Le Roux went to the beach. My car is the old Caddy, my 'Bluesmobile." Guy is driving the Miata.
Bob is in the middle in the bottom pic.

Today At The Beach!

It's a beautiful day here today, sunny, cool around 62 degrees and some nice little waves! There were a lot of people out there today, don't they work or go to school? Hmmm...

Racing At Cape Velero

This is a pic from a long ago regatta at Cape Velero on a bay near Rockport.
Local racer Richard Bradshaw is out front.

Sailing in the Laguna Madre

This is an old pic of me sailing in the Laguna Madre, well off the beaten path, just down the street where I lived at the time. I could then walk a half a block and launch. It is a great place to sail, you just have to be careful because it is shallow water and there are many obstructions. Once you learn the lay of the place you should be able to know where you can safely sail. Those were some good times!

Waves At Sands

This is an old pic from Sands in Isla Vista near Santa Barbara.

Path To Sands Beach In IV

Sands was one of the beaches I most often frequented during my years in Santa Barbara.
It was just around the point at Deveraux, real name; Coal Oil Point. It was a good walk to reach the beach but well worth it.
Sands had surf more frequently than many of the other surfing beaches there. It was a good beach break with rights and lefts and on occasion it would crank.
It was not unusual to see gobs of tar floating in the water and washed up on the beach. Any one who surfed often at Sands had tar on the deck of their surf board.
Further up the beach there was a nude beach where I was a regular.

Today in Port Aransas. It's been foggy and cloudy all day.
Here is a link to this surf cam which is the best one we have ever had here in my opinion.
