The Fresh Air Fund is also in need of hosts for this summer. Host families are volunteers who open their hearts and home to a child from the city to give a fresh air experience that disadvantaged children never forget. Below is a link which explains everything.

Hot And Sunny On North Padre Island

The whole length of the beach once looked like this. Now days the beaches and the island are suffering from too much development. The coastal barrier islands help protect the mainland from hurricanes and tropical storms. Overdevelopment speeds the erosion of the beaches, the dunes and the islands themselves.
Please help protect Texas beaches.

Beautiful Day Today On The Coast!

It is a gorgeous, hot day today on the Gulf of Mexico. It is hot but there is a cool sea breeze and all is good today. Click on pic for larger image.
