The Sandbar, Or Sand Spit If you Prefer!

For many years I lived across the street from this great surf spot in Santa Barbara. And after I moved to another address I still worked just down the street. Needless to say I always kept my eye on this spot. It didn't break very often but when it did...oh my!

Sands, December '06

This is Sands Beach in December '06. Sands was one of my favorite beaches when I lived in Santa Barbara. It had surf more often than just about any other beach in the area. When other spots were small or flat Sands might still have ridable waves. And sometimes it was really good!

Great Surf Pics From Santa Barbara Area!

Some of the best years of my life were spent in Santa Barbara. I loved it and for a surfer the waves found in that area are the best I have found anywhere. I still have roots there, my younger sister lives there and my son, who now lives in LA, was born there and I have a few friends still living there. It was a wonderful time and place for me.
