The Rape Of Padre Island

The forces attempting to steal a public beach on Padre Island seemingly will stop at nothing. There are many reports of bullying, attempts at intimidation, stealing and defacing of petitions and other dirty tricks. The prime mover behind this current controversy, Austin developer Paul Shexnailder, has reportedly said he would spend huge amounts of money to fight the grass roots movement against the beach grab.
This project and others planned and yet unplanned are changing the face of our once pristine coast. If development of this type is allowed to continue the greed heads will kill the goose that laid the golden egg and move on with their money, leaving those of us living here to put up with their rape of our coast.
