Shexnailder unhappy he has been referred to as a "Greedy Developer!"

Austin millionaire Paul Shexnailder is unhappy with the sobriquet "Greedy Developer!"
He said, in recent local news reports, that his proposed glitzy $1.5 billion resort development plan is a risk.
"The real truth is we take the risk," Schexnailder said. "When we
succeed we are called greedy. When we fail we are broke."
Sorry Paul, you are greedy. You have no risk in this venture. If the whole thing falls through, and frankly I hope it does, you won't be broke. You will still have the property, the Packery Channel and will still be able to find another developer willing to proceed with a plan that will not enrage the public by stealing a public beach.
The real risk is that we will lose a public beach and that others will follow! We don't want the camel to get its nose under the tent!
Shexnailder also said, in another news report, that Corpus Christi is "risking the future" if the beach driving charter amendment is passed.
Nothing could be further from the truth. We still have a relatively large area of unspoiled beaches. There are few left in this country that are accessible to the public. This is a draw! People like this kind of beach. They will come from far and wide to enjoy it. Beach resorts are a dime a dozen and honestly, if you want to spend time in a glitzy beach resort are you going to come here or Cancun or Hawaii?
